NEIGHBORHOOD LINK
Breast Cancer Early Detection Services
The YWCA OC and our community clinic site hosts/partners are temporarily postponing our mammogram screenings due to the COVID-19 health safety precautions and restrictions on the number of people attending public and private events held at businesses and organizations.
Since 1995, over 100,000 medically underserved women participated in our neighborhood screening program who would have otherwise fallen through the cracks, gone undiagnosed or diagnosed at a later, more expensive and live threatening stage. Our staff speak Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, reaching women in their native language aiming to reduce barriers to quality breast cancer early detection screening, diagnosis and treatment through culturally sensitive and dignified multi-ethnic education and outreach.
We proudly offer Breast Cancer Early Detection Services to uninsured women ages 40+ in their neighborhoods throughout the country to receive free Breast Health Services that include clinical breast exams, breast self-exam education, and screening mammograms through our Neighborhood Link Program. Each year, over 120 screening events are held throughout Orange County screening over 4,000 women annually with our medical partner, Alinea Medical Imaging.
